Hace unos cinco años estuve de viaje por Peru, visite Machu Pichu y conocí las olas de aquel país y hoy es el día en que sigo soñando con volver a Chicama. Chicama es según dicen la izquierda más larga del mundo y por lo que yo pude comprobar las olas pueden ser surfeadas sin parar durante unos dos minutos y medio un día bueno, así que no se si será la más larga o no pero el caso es que esta ola enamora sobre todo si eres goofy. Está a una hora y media de Trujillo y es bastante engorroso llegar hasta allí pero doy fe de que merece la pena llegar en el taxi colectivo a este pequeño pueblo de pescadores y descubrir a su gente y la ola. Esperemos que un día ese sueño se vuelva a repetir.

A Short Surf Film in Super Eight” by Justin Bullock, was made with two things in mind; to recapture the the spirit of surfing in it’s purest form, and to bring people together whether they surf or not. It shows the culture, fun and comraderie of the surfing lifestyle starting with the Duke in the 1940s and continues through the decades on Maui with the Uchimura Bros. and many more. You’ll also see some great surfing on Oahu’s North Shore in the 70s and 80s, clean California, Australia, and current footage of surf on Maui’s West Side. This film was shot entirely on 8mm and Super 8mm film. It is 37 minutes of pure fun; a movie that anyone, surfer or not, will want to see over and over again.
